The Best HDMI Cables (2024)

This is a complete list of certified HDMI cables I use and trust for home theater systems, entertainment systems, computer monitors, projectors, corporate AV, houses of worship, live streaming setups, on-camera monitors, and more.

In this list you'll find:

Fiber HDMI Cables

The AOC assemblies in this category use a hybrid of optical fibers for high bandwidth video and audio signals along with traditional copper wires for auxiliary signals.

Optical fiber removes much of the attenuation (signal loss) and outside interference issues found in passive and active copper cables, making it much more reliable for high bandwidth formats and longer cable lengths.

I recommend these cables for:

  • Sending 720p or 1080i signals 30 feet / 9 meters or more
  • Sending 1080p signals 20 feet / 6 meters or more
  • Sending 4K signals 10 feet / 3 meters or more
  • Using HDMI in environments with excessive RF noise or EMI

IMPORTANT: Cables in this category are unidirectional, with one end marked for source and the other for display. Be sure to test every cable before installation to ensure it is going the proper direction.
